How to Update Your Product’s Firmware on Windows Using the Epson Software Updater

To update your product’s firmware, follow these steps:

Opening the Epson Software Updater:

1. For Windows 10 Users:
   • Click on the Start icon.
   • Navigate to Epson Software > Epson Software Updater.
2. For Windows 8.x Users:
   • Go to the Apps screen.
   • Select Epson Software > Epson Software Updater.
3. For Other Windows Versions:
   • Click the Start icon.
   • Go to All Programs or Programs, and select Epson Software > Epson Software Updater.

If you don’t have the Epson Software Updater installed, you can download it from the official Epson website.

Updating the Firmware:

1. Choose your product model from the list, if prompted.
2. Tick the checkbox next to Firmware Updater (it is recommended to install all essential updates for your product).
3. Click on the Install item(s) button to proceed with the installation.
4. Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device? », click Yes.
5. Next, select Agree and then click the OK button to continue.
6. When the Epson Firmware Updater screen appears, click on the Start button to initiate the firmware update process.

Caution:

• Ensure that the firmware update process is fully completed before attempting to use your printer.
• Do not unplug the power cable or turn off your printer while the firmware update is in progress.
• If your printer is equipped with an LCD screen, avoid turning it off even if the screen turns blue or goes dark.
• Once the update is completed, the printer will automatically restart. For printers with an LCD screen, you will see the home screen displayed after the restart is finished.

Once the firmware update has completed, click the Finish button to finalize the process.

When a completion message appears, click the OK button and close the Epson Software Updater utility.
